Factors to tick when purchasing baby mobiles

Cot Mobile

Baby mobile are great for babies to play with and to keep them distracted for a long while. However parents should do their research before making the purchase. There are many factors \that they should consider before buying a toy that the baby will play with.
Firstly the safety factor should be kept in mind. The baby has to play with the toy and hence it should pose no danger to him/her. If you are going for the mounted baby mobile which are attached to the top of the crib then it should be made sure that the mobile is attached to the crib very tightly and also has all its components secured together so that there is no chance of any piece falling on the baby and harming him/her.
Secondly you should see whether the mobile has moving objects or not. If the mobile is stagnant there is a chance that the baby might get bored after a while but if it move in either direction it is bound to keep the baby entertained. Some of cot mobiles are wind operated and some have batteries inside them. They all are priced differently so you have to see what suits you the best.

Next it is always better if the cot mobile is musical. These mobiles have different sounds to them which can be used to entertain the baby and also help develop their senses. They also have soothing sounds which can help them sleep peacefully at night.
Parents should also see whether the mobile is ceiling mounted or simply mounted. The difference between the two is that the first one requires you to screw it to the ceiling of the crib and the latter just gets simply attached to the crib. For your ease you should choose the one that suits you more.
Another factor to keep in mind is the ongoing theme in the nursery. There are cot mobile with different colors and patterns and it is always better to choose the one that is aligned with the theme of the room.

You should also see whether the mobile has a night light or not. Night light is great for when the baby wakes up in the middle of the night and you have to turn on a light. Instead of turning on the light of the room and risk waking someone else up you can just turn on the night light and put the baby back to sleep.
